Eric Eason is Men's Breakfast Speaker at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church

Dr. Eric D. Easton, P.E., Director, Real-Time Operations with CenterPoint Energy, Houston, Texas, the speaker for the monthly Men's Prayer Breakfast at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, is set for Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall the church on 200 Phillip and 204 Dooley Streets. Eason holds the Doctor Of Philosophy in Systems and Engineering Management From Texas Tech University, The master of Business Administration from University of Nebraska at Omaha and the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University and is a Texas Licensed Professional Engineer. While a student at prairie view, he was a Team Captain for the Golf team and a SWAC Golf All Tournament Medalist and Mentor for Success Math Tutor.

As Director of Operations, Eason oversees the safe and reliable operation of the transmission network in the Houston area and assist with the development and review of regulatory policy associated with the planning and operation of high-voltage power system networks. He's moved up through the ranks since joining CenterPoint in 2007 from being an Engineer, Senior Engineer, Transmission Control, Lead Engineer, Substation Engineering, Asset Management Consultant, Asset Planning and Manager, Substation Engineering. His previous experiences include Rotational Engineer for Transmission and Distribution Planning with Omaha Public Power District, Omaha, Nebraska from 2002 to 2007.

In addition to his professional career, Eason spends time volunteering for various programs and events, some hosted and supported by CenterPoint. His civic engagement includes United Way Heartland Blueprint Leadership Class and Young Leadership Contributor. He has published multiple articles in Engineering Journals and has delivered numerous presentations at industry, academic and international conferences throughout his career.

Please encourage your friends, family and colleagues to the free breakfast on Saturday August 17, 2019 at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church on 200 Phillip/204 Dooley Streets in Prairie View, Texas.

St. Francis of Assisi will also host the Houston Foodbank/Kraft Mobile Food distribution at the church on 204 Dooley Street on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The free fruits and vegetables distribution is available to anyone in need in Waller County Area. No qualifications required.

Patrons are asked to bring bags, boxes or carts to carry the food items. Persons will be also able to sign up for other social services, i.e. SNAPS. CHIP and TANF, etc.) Please share this information with persons you feel will benefit from the service. Thanks for your assistance.

Members of the community are also invited to attend the weekly Bible Study on Sundays at 9:30 a.m., followed by worship service at 11:00 a.m.
