Join the Parade . . . Public Invitation

Marisol Allen courageously served our country for more than 29 years in the U. S. Army and retired with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4, completing with her final tour of duty in Afghanistan.  Now she serves as the First Lady of the City of Prairie View.

Now she faces the biggest challenge and fight of her life against that dreaded disease - cancer.  In show of emotional support, the public is asked to join in a special prayer to encourage First Lady Marisol Allen and participate in a Parade for Life on Monday, May 18, 2020.

While social distancing, persons are asked to join the line that will form at 4:45 p.m. and begin traveling at 5:00 p.m. from the Southwest side of Anderson Circle (FM 1098) to the Alta Vista Subdivision and drive by her home on Pine Street to thank her for her service and support to encourage her to continue fighting this challenge. Officers from the City of Prairie View Police Department will lead the Parade.

Persons may send her a personal message by way of a poster sign affixed to the drivers' side of your vehicles. A table will be provided near the driveway to her home, where you can leave a card, flowers, balloons, etc. and quickly return to your vehicle.

Please join the parade that will slowly pass Marisol's home on Monday, May 18 at 5:00 p.m.

Continue your prayers for Mayor David Allen and his lovely wife, Marisol.

For additional information or to confirm your participation, contact Marie Herndon at 281-202-2110.
