Carol Campbell Co-Authors Book On Special Events To Support TMCF



CAROL CAMPBELL AUTHORS BOOK ON SPECIAL EVENTS

Every one has a story to tell, says the old adage; and Carol Campbell is telling her story along with Dwayne Ashley, CEO of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) as co-authors of "8 Winning Steps to Creating A Successful Special Event." The book is published by TMCF, with sale proceeds benefitting TMCF member schools.

Campbell and Ashley created the end-to-end guide on planning various types of events to aid those tasked with a range of events including planning networking socials to organizing elaborate fundraising events.

"8 Winning Steps to Creating A Successful Special Event" was written for everyday people who may not have event planning experience or a large budget, but seek to produce quality special events: church groups, organization planning committees, community volunteers, parent/teacher organizations and many more.

A special events and protocol management expert and Prairie View A&M University Alumna, Campbell has 29 years of experience in higher education and entertainment. Before returning to work for her beloved alma mater PVAMU as a Development Officer for Radio Station KPVU,FM 91.3, Campbell spent ten years working with nationally syndicated television shows PM Magazine, Laverne and Shirley, and the Home Box Office (HBO) network in Los Angeles, California.

Campbell takes time out of her busy schedule to volunteer and share her knowledge with various community organizations. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication with a radio and television concentration and a master’s degree in educational counseling from Prairie View A&M University, a TMCF supported institution. Campbell also trained at the Protocol School of Washington.
