On Tuesday, October 16, 2018, residents of the City of Prairie View will join communities around the country in hosting for the National Night-Out Community Building Celebration, which will bring the neighbors out to share common interests in the welfare of the neighborhood. The FREE Event for ALL and Activities for Children runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Prairie View City Hall 44500 Bus. Hwy. 290 Prairie View, Texas 77446.
National Night Out was first established in 1984 by Matt Peskin of the National Association of Town Watch. The event brings neighbors and communities together with festivals, block parties, cookouts, parades, and various other events as common ways for communities to come together on National Night Out. The Prairie View Police department hosted its Pre-National Night-Out Community Celebration on Thursday, September 21, 2017 and from all account it was a very successful event. Members are encouraged to come out and meet your neighbors.
