NeKisha Durham is Waller ISD's New Athletic Director


NeKisha Durham of Prairie View is the new Athletic Director for the Waller ISD, effective for the 2022 academic year.

Durham began her teaching and coaching career with the (Huffines Middle School and Lewisville High School) as an English teacher, physical education teacher, and coach (basketball, cross country, volleyball, track, and soccer) (1999-2002). 

She first served at Waller High School as an English teacher and coach from 2002-2005. 

Durham is a proud Waller High School (WHS) graduate who has served as the WHS Girls’ Athletics Coordinator since 2016 and WHS Girls’ Head Basketball Coach since 2015. As Athletic Director she will oversee the district’s athletics programs for both boys and girls, provide leadership and guidance to coaches, act as the district’s UIL liaison to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and coordinate games, practices, and event schedules. Durham will also continue to serve as the WHS Girls’ Head Basketball Coach.
